Android: click on notification should not ask a coach+ question
Sometimes clicking the notifications sends a coach+ question immediately. But I don't want to waste a question asking what I should eat! When a notification mentions the next workout I would expect clicking it to show me the workout details. If it goes to the coach+ page, at least it should not send the question and charge for it immediately.
Power indoors, heart rate outdoors
Set a separate workout target for indoor and outdoor rides, for example power on your smart trainer and heart rate on the road bike without a power meter. Each session picks the right target automatically from whether it's indoor or outdoor.
Long rides that build toward your event
Your weekly long ride grows step by step over the weeks toward what your goal event demands, within the time you've made available, instead of staying around the same length. For multi-day events such as stage races, the plan would also add back-to-back days later in the build.
iOS App
There is an issue with the iOS app. When I use Coach+ and try to switch to another section using the bottom navigation bar, the keyboard does not disappear and blocks the navigation. The only way to fix it is to force close the app and open it again.
Virtual Racing as a specific race category
Add virtual cycling as a specific category of race calendar When adding Zwift indoor races courses as gpx files → ability to build a specific indoor race strategy from that race course gpx
Triathlon races per leg: swim, bike and run each with their own distance, target time and race plan
Enter a triathlon with a distance and target time for each leg, attach the bike course without losing the full race distance, and get pacing and fuelling for each leg on race day.
Workout builder: create and edit workouts in IntervalCoach
Build your own workout, or change a planned one step by step (durations, targets, repeats), right in IntervalCoach on the web and in the apps, without switching to Intervals.icu or asking Coach+.
Set your target form (TSB) for race day
Tell IntervalCoach the form you want to arrive at on race day, and have the taper aim at that number rather than following a fixed curve. Experienced racers often know the form they perform best on, and it is not the same for everyone. Today you can choose how aggressive the taper is, but you cannot name the number you actually want to hit.
Minimum and maximum duration per session
Give each training day a duration range instead of a single maximum, so the plan never schedules a session shorter than is worth getting changed for, and never longer than the time you have.
Set how many sessions per sport per week
Tell IntervalCoach how often you want each sport in a week, for example two rides, two swims and one run, and have the weekly plan respect those counts instead of only the sports allowed per day.
See your new FTP right after a fitness test
When you finish a scheduled ramp or FTP test, your post-workout analysis leads with the result: your new FTP next to the previous one and what it changes in your zones and plan, instead of scoring the test like a regular workout.
Indoor or outdoor per day in your training schedule
Keep one general indoor/outdoor bias in Settings, and override it per weekday in your training schedule, for example Tuesday and Thursday on the trainer, Saturday and Sunday outside. The planner then places precision interval work on your indoor days and longer, flexible endurance work on your outdoor days, without you switching sessions one by one.
Nutrition adapt to time of day
My workout schedule has them starting at 7am, but the nutrition plan recommends eating a meal 3 hours before. Can you adapt nutrition recommendations to the timing of the workout?
Workout targets follow your eFTP, not just your Intervals.icu FTP
When IntervalCoach plans on your estimated FTP but Intervals.icu still holds a different manual FTP, the exported workout is applied to the manual value and every interval lands harder or easier than planned. Sessions would carry absolute watt targets, so the numbers you ride are the numbers the coach built, whatever FTP Intervals.icu has.
Indoor or outdoor per session, with a switch on the calendar
Mark each planned cycling session as indoor or outdoor, see that on the calendar, and flip it when plans change so the session is rebuilt for that environment: shorter, more varied intervals on the trainer, longer sustained efforts on the road. Today the indoor/outdoor setting is one global bias applied when a session is generated.
Measurement depending on training type
I would like to run my Z2/endurance/easy runs on LTHR, and intervals on pace (or power for the matter). Feature request: have a number of training types (ideas): recovery easy/endurance tempo threshold vo2max interval Then make it possible to select a measurement type for that training type: LTHR Pace Power
Confusing trend and analysis cards
Please add a prominent sport label to every trends and analysis card, and identify whether the metric is sport-specific or combined. For multi-sport athletes, allow filtering the cards to Running, Cycling, or Combined. As a runner who uses the bike mostly only for recovery, seeing trends which show me declining is quite disheartening, until I asked Coach+ what each card was showing.
Write your own note when you rate a workout
Rating a session is two taps today: how hard it felt, and how you felt. Useful, but there is plenty a tap cannot say. This would add a small box for a line in your own words, so you can tell the coach your legs were heavy, the wind was brutal, or you were running on four hours of sleep, and have that count toward how the next session is built.
Pin the type of session to each weekday
Set your own weekly shape once: Monday is intervals, Wednesday the long easy run, Saturday tempo, and so on. The coach then keeps that shape and only adjusts how hard and how long each session is, based on your recovery and where you are in the plan. Optional, and off unless you fill it in.
Minor adjustments to the Android app
Hi! I’m just pointing out the need for a small adjustment to how data is displayed in the Android app: Notice that the trend information for eFTP, CTL, and HRV is truncated, as shown in the image. This doesn't happen in the mobile web version. Is it possible to have a dark mode in the Android app as well? Currently, I can only use it on the web version. Thanks!
