Changelog: Week of October 24
Connect Wahoo and Hammerhead directly
You can now connect Wahoo and the Hammerhead Karoo straight to IntervalCoach under Settings > Connections. Your rides come in as soon as you finish, with the name, max power, heart rate, cadence and temperature your bike computer recorded. Your planned sessions go to your ELEMNT, BOLT, ROAM, RIVAL or Karoo, with a small band around each target so your head unit doesn't warn the moment you're a watt off. On the Karoo, ramps, cadence targets and percentages of FTP arrive as single steps. Indoor workouts on Garmin, Wahoo and Karoo now use your indoor FTP. If Intervals.icu already sends your workouts to a device, we leave that to it. Each connection card shows when we last sent something, and you can choose "Send anyway" when Intervals.icu's copies stop arriving.
Train and coach without Intervals.icu
Signing up and signing in have a new look on two separate pages. You can sign in with a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or device PIN), or type the six-digit code from the sign-in email. Setup now starts with what you record on (Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift, COROS, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch) and shows how each one reaches us. If your rides come in without an FTP, we estimate one from your best efforts and ask you to confirm it. Your FTP, thresholds and zones now come from what you set in IntervalCoach, everywhere. Walks, runs and rides without power get a training load and their analysis. Coaches can sign up and coach athletes without an Intervals.icu account, and you can redeem a gift without one too. Your data export under Settings > Account now holds every activity, recording and wellness day we keep for you.
A new training schedule editor
Training Plan and Settings > Training now share one schedule editor. Your week shows one line per day, and tapping a day lets you pick its sports, set the time with − and + or a quick choice, add a time of day and add a second session. You choose whether the coach picks the length or fills your time. Before you save, you see which of the next seven days change. A training day can now be up to 10 hours, everywhere you set it.
FTP test reports
After an FTP test, the activity page and your workout email show a test report: your new FTP, how it compares, whether the test was valid and how fresh you were. One tap uses the new value, and you can undo it. An indoor test updates your indoor FTP and an outdoor test your outdoor FTP. A 20-minute test ridden inside a longer outdoor ride is now recognised. Coach+ answers "how did my test go?" from the same report, and asking it for a test gives you the type set in your settings.
Smarter workouts and analysis
When your watch or bike computer ran the structured workout, the analysis now says how each interval went against its target, for example which block fell short and by how much. Coming back from illness or injury, your plan and today's workout follow the same gradual build-up, and it stretches with how long you were out. A day where readiness caps the intensity keeps every step within the cap. When your weekly load is still small, you get fewer, proper sessions of at least 30 minutes. Step names on your bike computer, watch and Zwift now appear in your language. A corrected HRV or resting heart rate for last night now updates today's score and workout as soon as it arrives.
In the iOS & Mac apps
The FTP test report and the new schedule editor are in the app too. On-screen dates now follow the app's language instead of the device's, and Settings on iPhone no longer slides back and forth.
Bug fixes & reliability
More fixes this week. Saving an unchanged goal no longer rebuilds your plan. Pressing Save twice no longer adds a workout twice. Duplicate uploads of the same ride now count once. In Coach+, declined or failed changes no longer show a green check. Workouts with blank lines between blocks repeat the right steps. Sleep from Health Connect, Google Health and Apple Health is no longer shortened by naps or double-counted. Pool swims sent to Garmin arrive with their pool length and every step.
