Ultra cycling distances with 200, 500 or 1000+ km like Road Across Germany, RAAM, etc.need more than just training: fueling strategy, reduce stop time, sleep strategy, back -to-back trainings, night rides

Thanks Everd, that's a useful list, and it's exactly where ultra racing splits from "normal" endurance training.

Part of it already exists: add your race with a course (GPX or FIT) and you get pacing and a fuelling plan in carbs and fluid per hour for the race's real length, broken down by course segment, including how your own power fades on long efforts.

The rest isn't there yet: stop-time targets, a sleep strategy for 20 to 50 hour events, planned back-to-back long days and night rides as a deliberate part of the plan. I've added all four to this item. No date to promise, but ultra is getting more requests, and this list makes the scope a lot clearer.

Training plans for rides over 200K is the one big ticket item that is still lacking. If you solve that riddle, I might even suggest it to my fellow randonneurs.👍
