Connect your Wahoo account and IntervalCoach gets your rides and runs straight from Wahoo, and sends your planned sessions to your ELEMNT, KICKR or RIVAL. You don't need an Intervals.icu account for this.
Connect
- Open Settings → Integrations (or the "Your data" step when you sign up).
- Choose Wahoo and sign in with your Wahoo account.
- Allow IntervalCoach access.
We then fetch the last 12 months of your Wahoo workouts. That takes a few minutes. Your first plan is rebuilt once the history is in, so it starts from what you actually rode.
What comes in
- Every new ride or run you record on a Wahoo device or in the Wahoo app arrives on its own, usually within minutes of the upload.
- Power, heart rate, speed, cadence and the route from the recording.
- Your FTP. If Wahoo has one, we use it. If not, we estimate it from your rides and mark it as an estimate. You can set your own in Settings → Training → Zones.
Wahoo does not share rides you recorded with other apps, such as Zwift. Manual entries have no recording, so there is nothing to fetch.
Workouts on your device
Your planned rides and runs for today and the next six days are sent to Wahoo. They show up on your ELEMNT bike computer, KICKR, ELEMNT RIVAL or KICKR RUN under planned workouts. When the plan changes, the workout on your device changes with it.
Swims, strength sessions and other sports have no Wahoo workout type, so they are not sent.
If you also use Intervals.icu and it already sends planned workouts to Wahoo, IntervalCoach doesn't send them again, so you never get a session twice.
Disconnecting
Disconnect in Settings → Integrations → Wahoo. The Wahoo sessions already in your training log stay there, unless you choose to delete them too. Deleting your account removes everything.
"Wahoo has too many active connections"
Wahoo allows a limited number of active connections per app. If connecting fails with this message:
- Open your Wahoo profile and sign in.
- Scroll down to IntervalCoach and choose Revoke Access.
- Connect Wahoo again in IntervalCoach.
IntervalCoach does not appear under Authorized apps in the Wahoo app itself; use the web profile above.
